The Dream of a New Friend in Africa
Last night I dreamed of a place full of symbolism and deep emotions. I was in an unknown country, a place where crocodiles and hippos roamed freely, representing both the majesty of nature and hidden danger. My temporary home in this world had a fence in front, a barrier that protected me from those wild animals that approached with curiosity. I remained alert, watching that they did not cross.
In this context, a young woman with black skin appeared. She invited me to walk through her country, a land that seemed to hold secrets for both her and me. Curiously, in the dream my skin was white, which highlighted our difference, but also the connection that was forming between us. She told me that she would return after looking for something and, while waiting for her return, I decided to bathe under a windmill. Crystal-clear water fell from its blades, which purified and renewed me.
While waiting, I met her family. One of her sisters told me about the difficulties they were facing, and I felt a deep sadness at not being able to help them. I was especially saddened by the absence of my new friend, whom I was eagerly awaiting, wishing to walk alongside her again.
When I woke up, I was overcome with a sense of curiosity to understand the meaning of this dream.
