Hotmail users can enjoy the same email syncing and delivery experience as those using Apple’s iCloud accounts by adding their Hotmail account to their iPhone. Although Hotmail has officially changed to Outlookcom, you can still add your Hotmail account.
- 1Open the Settings app.
- 2Tap "Mail, Contacts, Calendars".
- 3Tap "Add Account..."
- 4Tap "Outlook.com". Microsoft has changed Hotmail to Outlook.com. Your Hotmail account still works, and you can still use this method to enter your Hotmail account information.
- 5Enter your Hotmail email address into the "Email" field. You can enter in your Hotmail address here, even though the field says "email@outlook.com". Enter your Hotmail password into the "Password" field.
- Your account will be labeled as "Outlook" by default, so change it to "Hotmail" if you'd like.
- 6Log into the Outlook.com website if you are having difficulty verifying your account. If you haven't used your Hotmail account in a while, or you've forgotten your password, logging into the Outlook.com website from your computer may help reactivate your account or allow you to reset your password.
- 7Select what you want to sync. Besides your email messages, you can also transfer your Hotmail contacts, calendars, and reminders. These will appear in their respective iOS apps.
